Fertility Acupuncture stimulates blood flow & hormone secretion. It stimulates secretion of endorphins (happy hormones), Progesterone, HcG(pregnancy hormone), Oestrogen, Lutenising Hormone(LH), Testosterone as well as numerous other hormones depending on where the needles are inserted & how they are stimulated. Fertility Acupuncture has a similar effect as fertility drugs offered by Western fertility clinics yet without the harsh side effects.
Since acupuncture stimulates hormone secretion & blood flow, it is very effective in treating infertility, fertility issues, embryo implantation during IVF & natural conception, fertilization during IUI, depression, menstrual pain & so on. For this reason a relaxed and calm feeling is experienced during & after acupuncture.
Fertility Acupuncture is very effective where there is an obstruction of Qi(氣 滞) and or blood flow(血瘀) creating pain or numbness such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, irregular menstruation, PCOS, & period pain.
Acupuncture alters brain chemistry by changing the release of neurotransmitters and neuro hormones through stimulation of the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, pineal gland & so on. Thus Acupuncture directly affects fertility, sexual desire, ovarian function, ovarian reserves, follicles, the uterus, & the gonads. In my clinic I have found that acupuncture is able to increase progesterone levels and regulate FSH, LH and oestrogen levels, all of which can have a positive effect on pregnancy rates. I have also found that Acupuncture is able to stimulate ovulation function as well as regulate ovulatory problems where Clomed & IVF follicular stimulation have been unsuccessful.
Acupuncture affects the parts of the central nervous system related to sensation and involuntary body functions, such as immune reactions and processes whereby a person's blood pressure, blood flow, and body temperature are regulated. This means that Acupuncture has an a good effect on decreasing antibodies otherwise known as Natural Killer cells which often make IVF embryo implantation unsuccessful
There is no special acupuncture treatment which cures everyone & thus for Acupuncture to have such great success on pregnancy rates each patient must not be treated the same as what is known as a Protocol Treatment. Each patient must be treated according to their body type & pulse diagnosis & have a tailored treatment designed for them. |
