Preparation for IVF, IVF Transfer, & IVF Support.

Are you failing IVF, ICSI, IUI? Is your body producing poor quality eggs during each IVF egg collection ? Are you not producing enough develped follicles? Are the follicles too small? If so our clinic offers IVF support & IVF preparation before embryo transfer and after embryo transfer with outstanding results. We have an 87% success rate when treating infertility (June 2007 to May 2008).

Kenneth Snell specialises in the treatment of infertility using his Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture fertility programmes. He has achieved success with patients who have been told by IVF specialists that they will have difficulty conceiving.

These outstanding results were achieved with the new Acupuncture Chinese Medicine infertility treatment developed by Kenneth Snell which can be used in conjunction or in place of IVF invetro fertilisation.

Our clinic provides acupuncture & chinese medicine IVF support before an embryo transfer, and after an embryo transfer for all embryo types, and cycle types. Our IVF support programme is very helpful when using frozen embryos, donor eggs, stimulated cycles, non stimulated cycles. Our specialised acupuncture helps maintain the pregnancy after the embryo has been implanted.

Most female patients are not normally ready to have IVF treatment and this is why there are so many failures & miscarriages.

Kenneth Snell normally recommends 3 to 4 months of preparation treatment before entering an IVF programme. During the preparation period many couples fall pregnant naturally, and others have a good chance of success the first time when using the IVF proceedure along with our IVF support programme. Women who fall pregnant naturally during the IVF preparation period do not need to continue with IVF. This preparation involves taking fertility Chinese medicine and receiving acupuncture. After the preparation period fertility chinese medicine and acupuncture are used as IVF support.

This preparation increases follicle size, egg quality & greatly lessens the risk of IVF failure, firstly by improving progesterone & oestrogen levels, and increasing lower abdominal blood circultion. This IVF preparation reduces IVF failure further by thickening the lining of the uterus, improving endometrium lining for IVF, increasing blood supply to the uterus and ovaries.

Preparation is not only for women. IVF preparation using Chinese Medicine for men during the ICSI treatment reduces DNA fragmentation, reducese deformities of the sperm, increases the sperm quality & the amount of sperm, thus increasing the quality of the embryo.

Some women who have been implanted several times for IVF may find that they only keep miscarriaging. These problems can be difficult to cure but usually have quite a reasonable success rate when treated with our specialised Chinese medicine programme. IVF support is usually given as Fertility Chinese Medicine which is to be taken with the IVF fertility drugs.

Western Medical treatment for infertility can be effective but cannot help every woman wanting to conceive as the treatment & drugs are not individualised. Most women on IVF are given standard doses of hormones, but not all of them react in the same way. How can this work when women of different ages, & conditions are being treated with the same drugs & dosages? This is not individualised treatment and is one reason it does not work so well.

Standard hormone treatment given during IVF does not stimulate every woman's uterine wall.

Some women may require up to four times the normal amount of progesterone given before uterodomes appear on the uterine wall making it ready to accept the embryo. Another factor which contributes to IVF not being so successful is the amount of time given for the body to react to the drugs. The follicles, uterine lining etc are all expected to increase within one cycle in the hope that the body will be ready to accept the embryo near the end of the cycle. This is all hoped to happen in one cycle? This is definitely not enough time for women who have previously had under active reproductive systems to suddenly have active reproductive systems in less than one month. It is much like a thinly built man taking steroids and expecting huge muscle growth and a dramatic change of physique after one month. It is quite unnatural, mechanistic, & not advisable from a Chinese Medicine perspective.

IVF Preparation

It is no use to keep trying IVF, IUI, ICSI, and ART if the previous times have been unsuccessful. If the embryos have not taken to the lining or there was a miscarriage there is obviously something wrong which needs medical attention. It is unlikely to change with future attempts. It will only weaken the reproductive system and gradually become worse.

Many a time the IVF doctors will advise to go straight into another IVF cycle without letting you think twice about why the embryo didn’t take in the lining.

If you were to stop there and put the IVF programme on hold for a few months so that you would receive treatment to correct the uterine lining or other causes of the problem you would have more chance comming out as a winner. Once you have received IVF preparation your reproductive system will have a much greater chance of accepting & holding the embryo due to the changes initiated during the  preparation treatment. Preparation time is usually a few months and may be more if you have a history of previous failed IVF attempts or miscarriages.

Preparing For IVF with Chinese Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture

Even though IVF specialists warm against combining IVF drugs with Chinese Medicine, previous patients of mine that have passed through my clinic have been successful when having combined the two.

Herbal medicine is recommended before the transfer of the embryos & after the transfer of the embryos.

Transfer of Embryos

Chinese medicine is especially helpful in this stage as we have designed specific formulae to assist the transfer. Acupuncture alone is not strong enough at this stage though when combined with Chinese medicine its effects are greatly enhanced. The specialised medicine can help to slightly dilate the cervical opening which in order allows an easier transfer of the embryo into the uterine lining. It also calms the patient, thus relaxing the uterus. Therefore, when the transfer is being performed, the patient is less likely to experience cramping and uterine contractions, thus helping the embryo implantation. Chinese medicine also increases the blood flow to the uterus which thickens the uterine lining.

After the Transfer of the Embryos

After the transfer of the embryos, it is important to assist blood circulation in the uterus, maintain implantation of the embryo, and nourish embryo growth. Relaxing the uterus to prevent uterine contractions that cause bleeding and miscarriage is important. Chinese medicine is effective as we have designed specific formulae especially for this stage. Previous patients that have passed through our clinic have been successful when using Chinese medicine at this stage of the transfer.

After a Positive Pregnancy is Achieved.

After a positive pregnancy is confirmed further herbal medicine is required to make sure a miscarriage does not occur.
This specifically designed herbal medicine
1 *prevents miscarriage.
2 *Produces a healthier fetus (baby)
3 *Reduces the post natal depression

This medication in this last stage can be taken for up to 20 weeks in order to nourish a healthy fetus.
