Treatment
It is very common for patients to visit their local doctor complaining of uneasiness & discomfort & be told by the doctor that there is nothing wrong with them. This also goes for IVF & other gynaecological conditions. Once a woman’s IVF procedure is unsuccessful the IVF specialist most usually says they do not know why the eggs did not take & they should try again.
These days many female patients complain of failing IVF even after undergoing numerous routine medical tests such as blood tests, ultra sounds, fallopian tube patency tests etc. Female patients are tested for hormone irregularities before going through an IVF cycle. After being tested & being told that they have the required amount of hormones, most still end up having a failed IVF transfer or a miscarriage. Why are the procedures failing when the Western medical tests are indicating positive hormone levels required for IVF? In this situation Oriental Medical diagnosis is the best form of diagnosis as it looks for changes in the body that Western medicine is not aware of.
As well as routine western medical diagnosis, Chinese medicine relies on more than five very precicse extra ways of investigating the body. These diagnosis techniques are the Water theory, Qi theory, Blood theory, stasis theory, meridian & point theory. To assist these theories are pulse & tongue diagnosis. . When all of these are at the doctor’s disposal the diagnosis is likely to be much more accurate. Having a greater range of diagnostic skills allows the Chinese medicine doctor to understand the underlying cause.
If 10 participants all had infertility due to (for example) PCOS, these 10 participants would all be diagnosed with the same condition via Western medical diagnosis. Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Though when diagnosed via Chinese medicine diagnosis each would be broken down into different categories due to differing symptoms. They would all receive vastly different treatment if treated by Chinese medicine.
It has been procedure for candidates entering an IVF programme to receive the same drugs. Some may receive differing dosages though ultimately they are all on the same treatment. Chinese medicine treatment would encourage different medicine to be prescribed to all participants of the programme. This is termed as individualised medicine.
If you feel that your conventional treatment is not giving you a suitable result or if you have a condition that is not getting any better such as multiple failed IVF attempts or multiple miscarriages, & conventional treatment cannot diagnose or correct the cause, then I recommend Oriental Medicine diagnosis & treatment. |
